Here is the Alcatel One Touch Fire, smallish phone for the masses. The hardware is far from impressive, but should take into account the price of only 90 euros. The key still lies in the still quite young Firefox operating system, which is trying to get into the lower segment cope with widely accepted android, but also the increasingly popular Windows Phone platform.

Alcatel One Touch Fire comes in a blue and orange box characteristic of the Firefox logo, which includes the well-known fox. Inside we have a charger, microUSB cable, Headsets and quick start guide. This model is available in three color variants – Mozilla orange, apple green and pure white. We get the first orange option, which we thought quite appealing. On the front above the screen there is a Alcatel logo, a speaker to talk and assist, while below the screen placed a single capacitive button in the form of circles, in the lower left corner with the microphone.
The background is also made ??of bright orange plastic, and it got a 3.2MP camera without flash and next to her a speaker. When you look under the hood you’ll find 1400 mAh battery below the SIM card slot and microSD slot.
Alcatel One Touch Fire is intended for users with low budget, which would the phone want smartphone capabilities. He is also a great choice for people who would like little bit of money to try a new Firefox OS platform. Yet somehow we think he primarily intended for people who would like to switch from “ordinary” to “smart” phone, but are not quite sure of the significance of such a move because smart opportunities have not been necessary. This platform is still in a very early stage of development, so it is missing some things. Specifically in our case, the biggest drawback is the lack of push notifications, which we are accustomed to on Android.
The user interface is interesting, and it can easily handle, which is definitely a plus for new users. Performance is not bad, but also not too good due to the weaker hardware, so noticeable deceleration and slightly worse experience when browsing. The screen is not overly spacious, but comfortable, though it will certainly perform the job in this price class. The cameras do not think anyone will be satisfied. For the average user who just faces smartphone, Alcatel One Touch Fire is cheap and solid alternative, but if you are already in the Android or Windows Phone world, this phone will not be so interesting .
- Very affordable smartphone
- Good design
- Battery life
- Lack of Push Notifications
- Very limited selection of applications
- Poor camera
