From Gembird’s bid arrives simple HDMI splitter with two outputs, which in addition has a booster in order to avoid loss of image quality. Easy to use and very practical, with the price which is quite good.
Gembird has a variety of interesting peripherals to offer, especially when it comes to converters and adapters, and we are already able to see some of the models. On this occasion, there is an adapter from Cablexpert series, convenient HDMI splitter that will come in handy for anyone who needs one signal to pass on two screens, usually in conference rooms, home theaters and classrooms. What is important to immediately emphasize that this is not just an ordinary splitter, but also a signal booster that increases the range and length of HDMI cables that can be used, for about 10m. Something like this could easily be used to connect two HDMI cable in order to obtain greater length.

The device is packaged in a metal box measuring 70x60x20 mm, the completely black with Cablexpert logo on the upper side. The casing is very solid and well incorporated, so that acting is strong enough that it can be seamlessly and stand on a box without fear that something will break. We see that the sides there are two adjusting screw, so that in case of a need and can be easily opened, and is hermetically sealed and factory. In an accompanying package is getting short user manual and an external power adapter, which is the dimension of those used for mobile phones, with a 5V output, with a standard connector, so you can use any other of the same specification, which is always a good thing for the case that this adapter fails or loses.
Construction of this splitter is quite simple, on the one hand we have the power connector and HDMI input port, along with two diodes, so you can always look to see if everything is connected and working properly. On the other side are two output HDMI port, again with one status LED. The good thing is that the LEDs are off very much, so it will not bother you at night. All HDMI connectors are gold-plated, and is worth noting also that it comes to support for HDMI 1.4 protocol, and the splitter backwards compatible with all previous versions of standards, including support for 3D video. Maximum supported or 1080p HD resolution. In addition to sharing the input image to the two outputs, the device has a built-in signal amplifier, to avoid losing image quality even when using slightly longer cables.
This device is easy to install and use, and we have not noticed any loss of quality, even when long HDMI cables are used. It is good to have something like this, especially since it does not costs too much, and it can mean a lot in case you want to forward a video signal to two screens, or simply connect two HDMI cables to get more length.
